GIFGIF Privacy Policy

LOOKLOOK LTD (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the GIFGIF photo app “GIFGIF”(the “Service”) and corresponding website (www.gfgf.io)

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

We use your data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions.

DEFINITIONS

  • Service Service means the http://gfgf.io website and the GIFGIF Social mobile application
  • Personal Data Personal Data means data about a living individual who can be identified from those data (or from those and other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession).
  • Usage Data Usage Data is data collected automatically either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).

  • We may use the services of various Service Providers in order to process your data more effectively.

INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

Description: The Service Provider shall process Personal Data in order to provide the Services

Duration of the processing activities: The duration of processing is equal to that of the provision of service.

Instructions: The following are deemed as instructions by the Company to process Personal Data: processing necessary in order to fulfill the service

Data subjects:  consumers, influencers or employees

Categories of data:While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you (“Personal Data”). Personally identifiable information may include:

  • Email address
  • First name and last name
  • Phone number
  • Photos - Jpegs and GIFs

 

Email and Mobile Numbers

The email and mobile data is only used in order to deliver the images to the people in the image. When they give GIFGIF their data they are doing so for this purpose.

This data is stored securely and only used for the initial delivery and logging to aid in our delivery of service. For example we might need to fix a bug and use the logs to do this.

 

Image Data

The Gifs and Jpegs are hosted by GIFGIF. They are hosted on a non-password protected url, but the url is private so only people with the access to the url can find it. Subjects in the image may share the link with the understanding that it’ll will be seen by whomever they share it with. This sharing is an action that the subject takes and has the right to do since it is their data. GIFGIF won’t share the data or use it for anything other than hosting for the subjects to share.

We may seek permission to use the images in marketing, this will be done with a separate consent field when the user saves their image but is not necessary to use the service.

 

STORAGE

Images

Images are stored use Amazon AWS, this is based in the UK.  They are taken off line after 9 months and deleted after 1 year on less consent has been given to use them for marketing purposes, in which case the images will be stored will still be used in that capacity.

Mobile Numbers

Numbers are stored by Twilio as part of their logging process and deleted after 28 days.

Emails

Emails given to GIFGIF so that we can send MP4s are stored by Postmark and deleted after 45 days.

We only use your data for the reason you give it to us. When you give us your mobile number or email we only use it to send you a link to your GIF.  We may ask to you if we can use your image for marketing purposes and only if you say yes will we do use them. Our database does require that we log your data, as standard logging data is only kept for a maximum of 45 days.

 

SECURITY OF DATA

The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

TECHNICAL AND ORGANISATIONAL SECURITY MEASURES

We shall include appropriate administrative, physical, operational, technical and organisational measures and other security measures designed to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk, including inter alia as appropriate:

  1. The encryption of personal data for transmission;
  2. The ability to ensure the ongoing confidentiality, integrity, availability and resilience of processing systems and services;
  3. The ability to restore the availability and access to personal data in a timely manner in the event of a physical or technical incident;
  4. A process for regularly testing, assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of technical and organisational measures for ensuring the security of the processing.
